Little Red Riding Hood Play

This is my Little Red Riding Hood play that I did with Toakase, Salote, and Stella. I thought that doing this play was a great experience. I also loved using the gun.

Glacier dictogloss Group version

Glaciers are huge masses of ice that flow like very slow rivers

Over time glaciers form snow and water.

They are usually divided into two groups, Alpine and Continental ice sheets. Mountain valleys appear V-shaped until a glacier melts over it. Some glaciers appear dusty and rocky. Others have an aquamarine glow. After a while the mountain valley becomes wider and deeper and appears U-shaped. Ten percent of the earth is covered in glacier ice, but in the last ice age glaciers covered one third of the Earth's surface.

Alaska has more than 100 glaciers, most of them are yet to be named. Seventy five percent of the Earth's water supply relies on glacier ice. Glaciers can be more than 100,000 years old. Scientists examine and extract the ice to try to predict what climate was like back then.

The biggest glacier in the world is Lambert Glacier. It is found in the biggest ice sheet that covers 99% of Greenland and Antarctica. If Lambert Glacier were to melt the water levels would rise up to 65 metres and London would be lost underwater. New Zealand has two glaciers, Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier.

Glaciers are mountains of snow that stay still for a long time that the snow
crystallizes and turns into ice. Over time more layers of snow compresses down
and the glacier becomes deeper.

Some glaciers appear dusty and rocky. Others have an Aquamarine glow like a
huge Heligan ball inside. Glaciers are separated into 2 groups, the Alpine that
form on mountain sides, and the continental ice sheets.

Mountain valleys appear v shaped until a glacier melts into the valley. After a
while, the valley becomes wider and deeper, and appears v shaped.

75% of the Earth's water supply relies on glacial ice. Glaciers can be more than

The biggest glacier in the world is the Lambert Glacier in Antarctica. Lambert

Thankful cards

We have been learning and reading The Giving Tree so we made Thankful cards.

Taking flight

Taking Flight

On a glorious summers day my Dad dropped me off at my Grandpa’s house. I was sad that my Dad had to go. My Grandpa went to mow the lawn. I was bored. I was looking around then I saw a picture. I was starting to get very curious so I climbed up a few boxes. Then BAM I fell down clutching the picture in my hand. I knocked a helmet down to the lawn. My Grandpa came running with the helmet, he came and yelled ’’Sancta Maria.’’. Then he calmed down and told me that the go kart I found was my Dad’s. He asked if I would like to take it around. I said “YES of course”. I put on the helmet and we went out.

Our Imaginations went WILD. We started to imagine that we were in a forest. Then we went on a boat and started rowing. We started going towards a waterfall. We nearly fell when the boat turned into a biplane. We ran out of fuel, so I had to jump. I jumped out as quick as I could. It was so much fun!

We stopped at an orchard to rest and have a drink. He told me what kind of villains he had faced with my Dad. All of a sudden some aliens appeared. “Aliens!” my Grandpa said snarly. We hopped into the go-kart which quickly turned into a flying saucer. I was at the front and I was shooting at all of the aliens. Suddenly the BOSS came and we were so scared, but the boss turned out to be my Dad. He asked “How did you two get so dirty!?”. Then he saw the Go- Kart. Grandpa interrupted and said “Astronauts it’s time for lift off”. We blasted into space with a blink of an eye and went straight to the MOON.

One Shot Wonder

This is our One Shot Wonder movie that we made, it is about a person winning the LOTTO. As part of the project you had to be silent.
